Maintenance methods of water pump bearings and problems of attention during assembly and disassembly

1. The newly put-into-use pump usually needs to replace the grease (oil) after 100 hours of operation, and once every 500 hours after operation.

2. Flow bearings lubricated with grease should be replaced after 1500 hours of operation. The amount of oil should not be too much or too little, because too much or too little grease will cause the bearing to heat up. The amount of oil should be controlled at 1/2-2/3 of the bearing chamber volume.

3, for lubricating oil lubricated bearings, the amount of oil should be added to the specified position.

4. Containers containing lubricating oil or grease should be clean, sealed well in peacetime, and there should be no dust, iron scraps and other sundries to avoid damage to bearings

5. Motor bearings generally use sodium-based grease, this grease is able to withstand high temperatures (125 degrees C), but easy to dissolve in water, so it can not be used for pump bearings lubrication.

What should be paid attention to in the disassembly and assembly of bearings in gear pumps?

The following are the problems to be noted when bearing is disassembled.

(1) To maintain the traction to the desired extent, screw pump, for example, in the installation of bearings when the bearing just installed to the correct position to stop the application of force, to ensure that the end of the ring (washer) against the seat hole or shaft shoulder face, can not squeeze too tight, and can not be installed in place.

(2) The resultant force applied through the oil-free bearing axis as far as possible, plastic pump which requires the force point uniform symmetrical and stable, through the sphere or parallel to the axis of the force.

(3) Avoid force through the rolling body, diaphragm pump this requires the installation and removal of the inner ring (axle ring) through the inner ring force, assembly and removal of the outer ring) through the outer ring force.

(4) The size of the force should be stable and uniform, not suitable for impact, self-priming pump this requires the use of oil pressure or can be applied to smooth tension or pressure tools, it has to be hammered, but also through the copper sleeve and other soft metal without falling chip to buffer, the impact force as gentle as possible. It is best to use copper rods or copper hammers for hammering.
